What you get back
The statement prints a running balance, and every row checks out against the one before it.
No running balance is printed, but the opening balance plus every transaction matches the statement's closing balance.
The statement never states a closing balance, so there's nothing to check the numbers against. We say so instead of guessing.

Your statement is never stored
StatementBatch processes your PDF in memory to produce your spreadsheet, then forgets it. Nothing about the statement — not the file, not the transactions — is saved on our servers. Anthropic (the maker of Claude) is the only company that ever sees the statement content, for the seconds it takes to read it. Read the full privacy page.
Frequently asked questions
›What formats can I download?
CSV, an Excel (.xlsx) file, and a QuickBooks-importable CSV (Date, Description, Amount).
›Does it work on scanned or photographed statements?
Yes — it reads statements with no text layer too, including phone photos and faded photocopies. Very low-quality scans may need a manual check afterward; that's what the balance-match indicator on your results is for.
›What if the statement doesn't print a closing balance?
We say so, plainly — you'll see "closing balance not printed — can't verify" instead of a false checkmark. We never claim a statement balances when there's nothing on the page to check it against.
›Do you store my bank statement?
No. The file and every extracted transaction exist only for the length of your request, in memory. See the privacy page for exactly what that means.
›What happens after my free conversion for the day?
